International Certification course

The Flower ART Academy has launched a new course for international students and foreign florist schools in cooperation with the IHK Rheinhessen. Students can achieve the IHK certificate „Designer of floral ART (IHK)“.

The curriculums as well as the final examination are based on the German school and learning system for the apprenticeship “Florist”.

All workpieces, which are mandatory to the IHK guidelines are instructed within 6 weeks of intensively teaching. Those are:

• Tied bouquet
• Flower arrangement
• Planted arrangement
• Complex examination task
• Scaled drawing

The whole course lasts 8 months including intensive homework and exercises. All units are hold in the respective country.

The Flower ART Academy in cooperation with the IHK Rheinhessen are the first German organisations which examine students in their country for this certificate. As far as we know: This is unique! No need to travel to Germany.

The final test (examination) will be organised within two days. Three IHK examiners, who are on-site, and one IHK examiner, who is additionally connected to the test via video conference from Germany, will examine each student.

On the first day of the examination, all practical work pieces will be examined. On the second day of the examination, an oral presentation will be held in front of the IHK committee members.
